Biblically and historically, water baptism has been seen by the Church as the decisive point of becoming a part of God’s family, a member of the community of God’s covenant people. City On A Hill Church celebrates baptism twice a year with a preparation class preceding each baptism. Another group of almost forty young people just started this class, where the majority of the time is spent surveying the foundational Christian doctrines. The purpose of this class is to prepare people for water baptism doctrinally and pastorally, so upon baptism, they will be better equipped to be a part of and serve the Body of Christ.

City On A Hill Church recognizes the importance and value of education as a part of a Christian life. Christianity is growth and all growth integrates learning. As a practical means towards the goal of learning together, we have devised a three-level curriculum of education at City On A Hill Church: Christianity 101: Doctrine, Christianity 102: Discipleship, and Christianity 103: Leadership. At times other educational events take place.
